Auckland artist Paul Hartigan transforms the foyer of Christchurch Art
Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu by painting directly on the walls and ceiling
of the foyer in state-of-the-art aqua-coloured laser light. Paul will
introduce this work Alphabetica which has been developed for LightSCAPE.

Jonathan Mane-Wheoki, Director, Art and Visual Culture at Te Papa, and
curator of LightSCAPE, will open the SCAPE Biennial 04,
welcomed by Art & Industry Biennial Trust Chair, Adrienne, Lady Stewart.
Tobias Berger, Director of Artspace, Auckland presents ATTAC it in which
he discusses alternative Art Spaces and Biennials and the Work it. programme
of which he is the curator.
